ILI is a free, public platform to access and download studies, reports, and training around the topic of informality.

If you are making an account for personal use, select the Individual User option below. This account gives users access to view studies, reports and trainings. 

If you are making an account to represent your organization, select the Partner option below. This account gives users access to create a survey, upload studies and training materials, and to access datasets. Partner accounts are intended for members of grassroots organizations, unions, non-profit organizations, research institutions, governments and/or multilateral organizations. Partner accounts are verified by ILI.

Data is imperative to understanding the narratives of workers’ lives and bringing about changes to laws, policies, and advocacy efforts. At ILI, we foster a collaborative space to promote information in order to make breakthroughs in solutions using a grassroots, data-driven approach. 

Trainings plays a vital role in empowering grassroots leaders and organizations by providing knowledge and skills needed to effectively address diverse challenges. ILI provides trainings related to conducting research and data collection, as well as topics relevant to informality such as social protection, decent work, occupational health and safety, and organizing. We encourage partners to share training resources with the ILI community to support and build the capacity of workers and grassroots organizations.
